The Kootenays is a magical region of dense pine forests, epic mountain ranges and natural hot springs. This is where we live and where we draw inspiration for our Kootenay apparel. Kootz Collective™ is all about good folk, good fun, and the natural landscape that binds us no matter where we end up. It's apparel and goods that are the epitome of your laid back lifestyle. We are a sister-sister team. We love nature, creative styling, and communications. This project is a culmination of modern design and local love. Whether you are from the Kootenays or not, our hope is that our aesthetic strikes a chord with your adventurous and outdoor-loving soul.
As the new owners of Kootz Collective, we have a lot in common with the company’s founders. Just like Kelsey and Leah, we are sisters. We are moms. We are passionate about fashion and sustainability, stoked about entrepreneurship, and hold a deep love of the Kootenays. Though our roots here don’t run as deep, they are firmly planted. You know what else we love? Travelling in our own backyard. We look forward to filling you in on all the towns we are checking out, festivals we loved, and must visit lakes and campgrounds. We source soft, quality materials in classic cuts and most of our designs are unisex. Our clothing is ethically sourced and made in WRAP-certified environments (certified safe, lawful, humane & ethical/sweatshop-free). All of our clothing is designed by us and screen-printed in British Columbia.
